WTF is THC-O?

THC-O acetate is a relatively new compound to be found on the legal cannabis market, however its existence has been known for perhaps about 70 years, though in some inauspicious contexts.

From 1947 until 1974 the U.S. Army conducted biochemical weapons and riot control research at the Edgewood Arsenal facility in Maryland. Aside from 10 analogues of cannabis tried as different incapacitant (THC-O being one of them), some volunteer service members were also exposed to large amounts of LSD, MDMA and phencyclidine (PCP).

Β THC-O was found to produce twice the amount of ataxia (loss of coordination of voluntary muscular movement) in dogs, so it proceeded to human studies and the U.S. Army had to see what it could do with humans. It apparently was never incapacitating enough to be used in the field, or high enough concentrations could not be delivered clandestinely to fully incapacitate a full size human.

The DEA discovered THC-O when a lab was raided and large amounts of THC concentrate were found along with and combined withΒ

As Delta 9 THC is still illegal in the Old North State, our selection consists of Delta 8 THC-O. Delta 8 THC-O is 3x stronger than normal Delta 8 THC; so if Delta 8 doesn't get you where you want to be, you may want to give THC-O a try.

The refinement of THC-O is a somewhat complicated process very similar to how morphine is refined into heroin.
Start with your Delta 8 or THCa concentrate and then add in acetic anhydride, which is then stabilized. What is left is a very sticky, rosin like material that results in a 300% boost to the psycoactive properties.
